Friends have been asking, why I have not been updating any soccer results or analysis of late? Why have I not been commenting on anything about soccer matches?
Well, like I say.. school has been my priority of late. And, blogging has been kinda infrequent. Honestly speaking, I have not been watching any of Man U's games since the new season starts other than the Charity Shield. Yeah, I didn't really follow the games following that. All I knew was, they drew two games before losing to their neighbour in a derby match.
Because of that defeat and the lacklustre performance by United, I promised a friend that I would start watching their matches all over again and that's when they will start winning again. So, I watched their game last night. Officially, their first EPL match that I caught.
I am disappointed by the way they played. Everyone was playing without any clear goal! As good as the 1st minute, van der Sar was already challenged by the Spurs players. And, I won't elaborate further. I fell asleep after 30 minutes or so. It was seriously boring..
I am not sure what went wrong. But, I have this feeling that something in the formation is not right. Seriously, the backline is missing an element of confidence. The midfield?? I guess its still not gelling together. And, we're seriously having some trouble in the attacking position with Rooney injured. I am not saying that Rooney is a GREAT player. Rather, Man U can't operate on a one striker show!! Its a NO NO. Giggs can be the second striker but with Ronaldo out, who can play on the wings??
Why did Fergie buy Tevez?? He seemed like a lost soul wondering around. Was it because of Hungry Ghost Festival?? Haha.. He was hardworking, but he has no clear objective. He just run and run as if tomorrow never comes. What's the point of running when you aren't even sure about what you're chasing about. *shakes head many many*
I am giving Man U another chance.. I hope they can come back with a better perrformance. I missed those good old days where they played fantastic football. I hope those days would come back.
Alright, I got to go.. Byes!
