Finally, I have so much to update!! Yaaay..
Firstly, I've an announcement to make. W.e.f 01st August 2007, I've officially RESIGNED. I am washing my hands off to matters pertaining to that unofficial post which I had held for quite a while now. Its all thanks to this particular person. And yes, I hate you very much. And, let me tell you that there is a great difference between defending one and reasoning with one. Anyone disagree??
I am not going to forgive you until you jolly well apologise to me for your freaking rude and childish behaviour. Even if you do that, I can guarantee you that we won't be as close before and I won't even want to get involved in anything. I've washed my hands off. It's final. No one is able to talk me round. Nuff' said.

Secondly, my day was indeed ruined by that issue which cos me to officially tender my resignation. And, to makes things worst as worst could get, the 'semangat 60 saat' guy decided to play his role like his name said( and be irresponsible), he abondoned the team. Nice!
And so, I went home nursing a massive headache!

However, I tried very hard to forget the bad Wednesday I had and get on with life. Cos, it was Thursday the next day, which is today as I write this entry. I did say that something was going to happen on Thursday on my earlier post.
And happened it did. It was my virgin trip to Batam with friends. A dear friend/sista in crime with her boyfriend. It was fun fun fun and more fun.
While I was changing some money at HBF, I saw this personality who's working for ICA. He walked past me and he suddenly stopped and looked at me. I am not sure if he's trying to step handsome in front of me or did he happened to remember me from a visit to my school a few years back. I guess the reason was the former.
We reached Batam around 12.30 pm local time. We took a cab to Nagoya. We walked around the malls before finally settling down at A&W! My cravings for the ice-cream waffles were satisfied after the disappointing trip to Tebrau. Not only was I ripped off the cab fares, but there was no more A&W ! So, I had my waffles and some burgers. And, A&Ws were everywhere in Batam! How cool... Drool people....
Ooh my GOD!! This was really good! Fluffy and not cloying at all! I love it... only that I find the chocolate sauce is very artificial! But, the waffle is GOOD. For a moment, it brought back memories of how nice vanilla ice-cream is and how rootbeer should taste like. Yummylicious!!
After lunch, we walked on and I found a very nice ultraman toy for my nephew. Then we walked around a little more before we took a coffee break. Had some beverage at Godiva coffee. Which was way so cool! Taste so great and at a way cheap price. I had this belended coffee drink served in a wine glass and it costs only 10,000 Rp!! Which was like S$1.70!! In the end, we paid like less than 30,000 Rp for 3 drinks. In a cafe and that was how little we paid. How nice. Below is a shot of my drink...
Anyone has their doubts that this gem costs only S$1.70?? Admit it, you did.
And, I took some shots of stuff that brought back fond memories... 6 1/2 years experienced as a Barista...
Sorry, wasn't really well taken due to lack of practice. But, still fond memories managed to flood into every little corner of my brain. Haha..
After that we decided to go beyond civilisation of Nagoya. I was actually in search of the shop selling local products like keropoks and stuff. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it after walking under the sweltering heat and the incessant hornings of the cabs knowing that we were 'tourists'! And I bought a few packs for my mum. After that keropok shopping, we decided that enough was enough. Civilisation was what we need and nothing else. So we went back to Nagoya Hill Mall and took a cab back to Batam Megamall.
Along the way, we found this interesting shop... Can anyone spot what's so interesting about it???
See, its called French Bakery. Yet, they are selling Mie Ayam French (French Chicken Noodle)! So hilarious!! Hahahahah...
Yeah, anyway... our next destination was.. another cafe that's so popular with... D_ _ _ _ S! See the signboard and you'll know what I mean.
Familiar??? Yes?? No...? Think again! Hahaha...
I was amazed when I found so much cash was left. Hehehe.. So we bought some coffees and yeah of course, DONUTS to satify the cravings. Here was what we did.. we had double espresso, hot chocolate and coffee of the day as well as a Glazzy Donut, Tira-miss-you and Cheese something which I've forgotten its name. So we took the donuts first while waiting for the drinks. Than the guy called me after a while. Got my drinks and 3 pcs of complimentary glazzy donuts!! So we ended up with 6 pcs of donuts!! We had no room for anymore food but we were so gatal that we bought 3 pcs of donuts and ended up with another 3 pcs of donuts! Hahaha.. We didn't see the menu board which says that glazzy donuts are complimentary with every drink purchase! We ended up laughing at ourselves. Hahahah..

The donuts were heavenly!! Yummylicious! And, there were a promotion that says 80,000Rp for 2 dozens. Which is about S$0.50 per piece. S$13.00++ got me 24 pieces of donuts which was double the amount we get in Singapore. And tamak we was, as well as the idea of caring is sharing, we bought 4 dozens. Whahahaaa..
Its a bit upsetting that some flavours were unavailable but its alright... next time.
And so.. after happily purchasing 4 dozens of donuts, we decided that enough was enough. So, we boarded the 6.30 pm (local time) ferry back to Singapore.
It had been a fun fulfilling trip. But, too bad we missed the Padang food! We'll try it one day. Must cut down on A&W's and JCO donuts; leaving room for Padang food. Hahhaha...
I would like to thank
Shaz and Aidil for their kindness in sharing information on Batam. It had help in a way or another. Thank you guys for the help!!
