Before I ended off my earlier post, I've typed this, "It will be United's victory!!". But, let me tell you all.. as I typed that particular line, I had this very bad feelings that the roads at Goodison Park will not be as good and sweet as we united fans are hoping for. But still, I typed the magical words.
I saw the starting line-up. I am convinced that we'll triumph. But, when the starting whistle is blown, I had this sudden fear because I saw Everton attacking fast and furious. Each time an opponent play that way against United, the Red Devils will falter. I was hoping so hard that miracle will happen.
It seems that my hunch was almost right. Everton took the lead and there were no sign that United will level the score. Good news from Stamford Bridge, Bolton had taken the lead. But as soon as the news was announced, Chelsea equalised. They then took the lead.
Half-time came, 1-0 to Everton. *Sheesh*
Second half started. 5 minutes into the half, Everton took the score to 2-0 thru Fernandes' wonderful strike. *Sheesh*
Some few minutes later, United was awarded a corner kick. A sudden "de-ja-vu" feelings strikes me. A goal will result from Giggsy's corner kick. No, it wasnt as Turner caught the ball and lost possession. Yes, it was as a cunning devil was waiting to strike. O'shea struck and the scoreline was 2-1.
In came Ronaldo. Another corner kick. This time by Carrick. I hope it will go in. Up came Ronaldo with a header. Almost in. Frantically, the Everton defenders tried to clear the loose ball. But it went as far as Phil Neville's leg which ended in an own goal. Sir Alex must have been glad that he sold Phil Neville to Everton. The Red Devils would have been grateful to their ex-colleague and Gary Neville would hug his kid bro real tight and wished him 'Thank you!"
2-2 was the score at the 68th minutes. That scoreline seemed to bring a glimmer of hope to the Devils. They started to play like men possessed as they search for the 3rd goal and a victory. Their search came through an ex-Evertonian, Rooney. Despite all the booings, he scored against his old club. Look at how he celebrated; he kissed the United logo found on the left hand side of his shirt.
2-3 to United. The damage were not done yet. Out went Solskjaer and in came Chris Eagles. Chris who?? I've watched the young player played and he had shown potential in some of the matches. And potential it was when he scored the fourth goal despite almost tumbling. He coolly scored. 2-4 to United. What a comeback and what a day!
Good news no. 2... Chelsea drew their game against Bolton! Haha.. Mourinho must be whining again. He must be thinking how come John Terry do not have a brother by the name of something-Terry to captain Bolton and score an own goal! Who cares you sour grapes Mourinho?? 5 points apart and 3 games to go. All United need to do is, win another game though a draw is sufficient. And, the title will leave Stamford Bridge (finally) for Old Trafford. The scent of the trophy is getting stronger! Hehe.. United can rest all their player after the Manchester derby so as to concentrate on the Champs League and the FA Cup finals. In a few more days time, the finalist of the Champions League will be known. May United beat AC Milan... *fingers crossed*
